Description

Milbemax Allwormer tablets for Cats

Milbemax Allwormer for cats is a tablet for the control of all gastrointestinal worms in cats including roundworm, hookworm and tapeworm (including hydatid tapeworm). Milbemax Allwormer for cats will also prevent heartworm disease in cats if administered monthly. This product is formulated with two distinctly different proven ingredients offering broad spectrum activity in controlling all intestinal worms. Milbemax Allwormer can be used along with topical flea meds such as Advantage or Frontline Plus for optimal protection from internal and external parasites on your cats. Milbemax Allwormer tablets are only small compared to other allwormers, are beef flavoured and are easily administered by mouth.

Directions for Use

Weigh cats before treatment. Cats are treated by weight with the appropriate sized tablet or combination of tablets. Milbemax Allwormer is given as a single dose by mouth. Milbemax Allwormer should be administered with or after some food. Milbemax Allwormer for cats is available in two sizes. Small cat tablet for kittens and cars from 1.1 - 4.4 lbs (0.5 kg to 2 kg) and a larger cat size for cats between 4.4 and 17.6 lbs (2 and 8 kg). Kittens and very small cats between 1.1 and 2.2 lbs (0.5 and 1 kg) are given half of the small cat tablet. Cats between 4.4 and 8.8 lbs (2 and 4 kg) receive half of the larger cat tablet. Cats over 17.6 lbs (8 kg) are given an appropriate combination of the large cat sized tablets.

A common regime for treatment is to worm kittens every 2 weeks of age from 2 weeks old until 12 weeks, monthly from 3 months until 6 months then every 3 months as an adult cat.

Cautions

Do not use in kittens under 2 weeks of age. This medication should not be used in animals allergic to it. The use of this product in cats already affected by heartworm is not recommended.

    Easy to administer

I fed this tablets to couple of outside semi-feral cats that I take care of. They were spayed/neutered through the trap neuter return program, and now they permanently settled in my backyard. Since they are not house pets, and I am not able to catch them, this is a good alternative product to use on these type of cats. I think it worked on one of the cats especially, because she looked like she had tape worms. I noticed the difference in the physical appearance after I gave her just one tablet. Will continue to use on them for a few months from now to complete the deworming process. Will buy this product again.
