Not OTC in the USA
This is exactly the same as Revolution. I can get them 6 doses for the price of one Revolution from my vet's office. This is my answer in this crazy expensive world.

Stronghold works, no tick benefit
While Stronghold does not say it prevents ticks, I never had a tick on my cats while using this. If you are worried about ticks, get Stronghold Plus

This flea medicine works perfectly, costs less than Revolution, and my cat is happy. What else could be better? If you try it, you'll purchase it again and again. I've been using Stronghold for over 2 years with no issues.

Been using this med for nearly 4 yrs and NEVER had an issue with the way it performs its job. I give out the website and name to every pet owner I come in contact with. I have WARNED ALL new users that if their little friends have not been tested for heart-worm to DO SO before using stronghold since it will kill "the existing worm" and their friend. I know Cats are low risk for this type of parasite...Better safe than friendless.
